A special pre-empted broadcast of Friday Night AEW Dynamite advertised Orange Cassidy responding to Kenny Omega’s offer to defer his title shot, a weigh-in between Cody and Anthony Ogogo and The Dark Order vs. Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page. Tonight’s Dynamite also doubled as a go-home show for AEW Double or Nothing.
Ahead of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan cut a viral Twitter promo against WWE’s Nick Khan, who is rumored to be leading talks of a working relationship between WWE and NJPW.
Last week’s broadcast of AEW Dynamite garnered 821,000 viewers.

Darby Allin def. Cezar Bononi
It was so great to see Sting in front of a live crowd in AEW.
Cezar Bononi could really be something one day as a monster heel. He has a great look. AEW shouldn’t be so comfortable having its entire roster run through him .
Cody Rhodes vs. Anthony Ogogo Weigh-In
Hangman Adam Page def. Joey Janela
Hangman Adam Page was bleeding like a stuffed pig in this match, and while it appeared to be unplanned, I’m sure Joey Janela is used to it.
AEW has quietly built Hangman Adam Page vs. Brian Cage into a solid feud. This match could easily steal the show this Sunday, and I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t.
Orange Cassidy Declines Kenny Omega’s Offer
There was never any doubt that Orange Cassidy was going to turn down Kenny Omega’s offer, but at least AEW made him look pretty bad ass in the process.
Pac running in to power bomb Orange Cassidy felt too little, too late. Kenny Omega is an overwhelming favorite in this match and I’d be shocked if he lost.
Jade Cargill def. KiLynn King
Jim Ross’ voice really started to take a turn for the worst during this match.
KiLynn King is a large woman (6’1) and she was still dwarfed and effortlessly thrown around by Jade Cargill.
The funniest part of this match was Mark Sterling offering his card to Aubrey Edwards and KiLynn King. Mark Sterling is thirsty.
Miro def. Dante Martin—TNT Championship
Miro’s theme music isn’t half-bad and it’s not even a mainstream song that had to be licensed.
Nobody on this planet believed Dante Martin was going to win this match (fans were even chanting “Miro’s gonna kill you!”) so the shorter the better.
These fans absolutely loved Miro regardless of how hard he was trying to be a heel.
“Lacne! Sic ‘eem!” was such a great line by Jake “The Snake” Roberts as he unleashed Lance Archer on Miro.
Hikaru Shida’s One-Year Celebration as AEW Women’s World Champion
It felt like this crowd paid their money just for the right to do the "DMD" chant live.
Thank God they finally upgraded the size of that AEW Women's Championship. That title was the same size as the mini-replica Hikaru Shida gave her cat.
I've been wondering this whole pandemic who would be more over in front of a live crowd, Britt Baker or Darby Allin. It was close, but so far it's Britt 1, Darby 0.
Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page def. The Dark Order (Stu Grayson and Evil Uno)
Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page need a team name and matching gear before I even begin to take them seriously as a tag team.
This match received a well-deserved “this is awesome chant,”due in part to Stu Grayson working his butt off.
Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky always seem so angry and I have no idea what they’re mad about.
This post-match segment called back to a the famous Sting army angle where Buff Bagwell punched the real Sting and Sting didn’t sell it.
The Inner Circle Celebration
Not only did these farewell promos make it feel like the end of Inner Circle, it also made you want them to stay together given how good they all were in this segment.
AEW had great foreshadowing last week when Chris Jericho was seen backstage with Dean Malenko, only for Malenko to be beaten up by MJF and used to lure The Inner Circle into the stadium.
This segment was a great prelude to the Stadium Stampede.
