WWE NXT advertised an NXT Championship match between Karrion Kross and Finn Balor in addition to a Million-Dollar Faceoff between Cameron Grimes and Ted DiBiase.
Last week’s broadcast of WWE NXT garnered 700,000, essentially flat with its 2021 low on Tuesday nights the week prior.

WWE NXT Results—Tuesday, May 25, 2021
Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon def. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzales
Vic Joseph called NXT’s women’s division the best in the world, and though it sounds like one, it wasn’t even close to a hyperbole.
WWE is doing a good job taking its time telling the story of Dakota Kai being the weak link. It’s clearly going in the direction of Raquel Gonzales vs. Dakota Kai, but there is no rush just yet.
Pete Dunne def. Bobby Fish
After he was pretty intriguing during his return a couple weeks back, WWE couldn’t have made Bobby Fish come off as more generic if it tried.
Pete Dunne shined in this match, which really started to pick up late when it went to the ground.
Where the hell was Kyle O’Reilly when Fish was getting massacred?
Mercedes Martinez vs. Zayda Ramier
Zayda Ramier could be something in this business one day, but to this point, every time I see her in the ring it feels like on-the-job training.
The lights went out and turned back on to show Mercedes Martinez with a black mark on her hand, and that felt more like a hit was placed on her than The Hit Row’s promo for Bronson Reed.
Million Dollar Faceoff
LA Knight walked out and somebody screamed “nobody wants you here!” and I heard no lies detected.
When Ted DiBiase told LA Knight "I know exactly who you are," I think he was just being nice.
If Ted DiBiase really is being brought in to pair with LA Knight, it would be the biggest waste since the Portland Trailblazers drafted Sam Bowie.
Cameron Grimes appears headed for a babyface turn and he’ll be phenomenal in that role if he hasn’t assumed it already.
Franky Monet def. Cora Jade
All that buildup with the dog, and Franky Monet left it backstage for her big debut.
Franky Monet really stood out in her debut, hopefully WWE puts her on a relatively fast track to a match against Raquel Gonzales.
Bronson Reed Celebrates NXT North American Championship
To NXT’s credit, they really treated Bronson Reed’s title win like it was a huge deal for Reed, especially in his home country of Australia.
Santos Escobar appears to have cut the line in front of Hit Row toward the NXT North American Championship.
Karrion Kross def. Finn Balor—WWE NXT Championship
Karrion Kross owes Finn Balor an entire case of Guinness for giving Karrion Kross the two best matches of his career, one of which (tonight) the formerly ice-cold champion absolutely had to have.
This match was so good, I was hoping it would end in a disqualification just so they could run it back. Is it too late to bring out The Demon?
