BTS are huge on every platform where their music is available, whether it be sales sites like iTunes or Amazon
According to the Guinness World Records, BTS are now the most-streamed group of all time on Spotify. The organization certified the band for having racked up an incredible 16.3 billion plays across all their singles and albums.
The organization goes on to state that BTS snatches the record from Coldplay, who held the distinction of being the most-streamed group of all time on Spotify for quite a while. The British alternative pop-rock outfit has now earned 16.1 billion streams.Coming in behind both acts in third place is Imagine Dragons, who have already seen their tracks played 15.7 billion times.
The Guinness World Records organization points out in its announcement that BTS’s biggest hits on Spotify include their disco-pop smash “Dynamite,” which has been played nearly 830 million times, and “Boy With Luv,” a collaboration with American pop singer Halsey, which has thus far been streamed 642 million times.
It’s worth noting that while BTS is already the most-played group on Spotify, the numbers reported only represent part of the total global consumption of their music. The band has also brought in billions of views on YouTube, as well as hundreds of millions, or perhaps billions, of streams on competing platforms like Apple Music, Deezer, Pandora and many others.
Also, Spotify only launched in South Korea fairly recently, so the septet’s total sum is sure to increase noticeably in the coming months and years, as their largest and most dedicated fan base is in the Asian nation.
