Two brand new hit songs debut inside the top 10 on this week’s Gaon Digital chart in South Korea, while another track bolts into the highest tier and a new champion is crowned.

The Gaon Digital chart ranks the most popular, most-consumed songs in South Korea every week using a methodology that combines sales, streaming and what is called BGM, which stands for background music (usually used in various forms of media).

This week’s new No. 1 comes from beloved girl group OH MY GIRL, who scores their first chart-topper with new single “Dun Dun Dance.” The track opened at No. 8 last week on the Gaon Digital chart, and this frame it rockets seven spaces to the peak position. Before this turn, the all-female act stalled one rung shy of running the show.

Justin Bieber, Daniel Caesar and Giveon climb to a new high with their global smash “Peaches,” which has been rising the ranks for months now. The track is up to No. 2, and though it looks poised to capture the top spot soon, next week’s throne likely belongs to BTS’s “Butter,” but more on that in a minute. Swapping spots with the Canadian pop star and his collaborators is Brave Girls’ former controller “Rollin’,” which falls to third.

The loftiest start this week comes from one of the most successful groups of all time in South Korea, BTS. The septet’s new smash “Butter” kicks off its time on the tally at No. 4, bringing the band back to the top 10, where they have now appeared with more than 20 different tracks. There’s a very good chance that when the Gaon Digital chart refreshes again in a week, the cut may very well bolt to the top.

The next four songs all dip one space each, with IU’s “Lilac,” Brave Girls’ “We Ride,” IU’s “Celebrity” and SG Wannabe’s “Timeless” coming in at Nos. 5, 6, 7 and 8, respectively.

Still-rising girl group Aespa return to the Gaon Digital chart with their third-ever single “Next Level,” which quickly becomes the biggest release yet for the quartet. The tune opens at No. 9, giving the vocal outfit their first top 10 on the important ranking. In fact, “Next Level” is their debut top 40 on the roster.

Closing out the top 10 is LABOUM’s “Imagination Plus,” which appears to be the homegrown girl group’s second placement inside the highest tier on the Gaon Digital chart. The cut steps up four spaces to No. 10 this period.
