The U.K. singles chart has a new leader this week, but that’s not the only exciting news to be found just inside the top 10 on the tally. In fact, five tracks find themselves inside the uppermost region on the list this frame, with three debuting between Nos. 1 and 2 while another two tracks bolt into the area for the first time.
Up from No. 2 to No. 1 is Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U,” the third official single from her just-released debut album Sour. That full-length also opens atop the albums ranking, and now two of the three proper singles from the project have gone all the way to the top of the songs roster. Rodrigo first worked her way to the peak earlier this year when her debut single “Drivers License” went right to the summit.
Down to No. 2 after leading the charge for several frames is Tion Wayne and Russ Millions’ “Body.”
This week’s highest dbrut comes from South Korean all-male vocal band BTS, whose new single “Butter” enters at No. 3. The track matches their loftiest showing yet, as last year they reached No. 3 for the first time with “Dynamite.” “Butter” is BTS’s third top 10 in the U.K., coincidentally.
New to the top 10, but not the chart itself, is Rodrigo’s “Deja Vu,” which was released a few months ago as the second single from the then-unreleased Sour. Before this frame, the cut hadn’t quite managed to rise into the loftiest area on the singles chart, as it stalled at No. 11. Now, it’s up to a new peak of No. 4.
The next two tracks fall slightly from where they ranked last time around, with Doja Cat and SZA’s “Kiss Me More” and Lil Nas X’s “Montero (Call me By Your Name)” dipping to Nos. 5 and 6, respectively.
New at No. 7 is yet another song from Rodrigo, who is really the queen of the U.K. charts this week. The 18-year-old singer-songwrtier’s “Traitor,” which hasn’t been released as a single yet (but which has clealty been selected by fans a new favorite) opens inside the top 10, meaning Rodrigo has now appeared in the area with four tracks. That’s amazing, considering she only launched her solo musical career this year.
Down from No. 5 to No. 8 is The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears.”
A third track debuts inside the top 10 this frame, as Galantis, David Guetta and Little Mix’s “Heartbreak Anthem” is new at No. 9. The tune is the fourth top 10 for production duo Galantis, the seventeenth for Little Mix and the twenty-sixth for Guetta.
No. 10 on this week’s U.K. singles chart also features a new winner, as Mimi Webb’s breakout smash “Good Without” surges from No. 24 all the way to the lowest rung inside the top 10. The cut is her first real hit in the nation, and obviously her first appearance inside the uppermost area.
