If you check into the The Cove at Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahamas this summer, not only will you get access to their fabulous water park, and a fifth night free promotion – you’ll also get complimentary scoops of a boozy signature ice cream. Developed by Tipsy Scoop, New York City's liquor-infused ice cream shop, the Guava Lime Cocktail Ice Cream is a vegan coconut base infused with rum and guava.

Tipsy Scoop has been serving up adults-only ice cream for years from its New York area “Barlors” or via mail order– but perhaps driven by everyone’s newfound desire for fun, it’s expanding into Boston this summer, along with popping up in the Bahamas.

Not ready to travel? Or maybe you prefer vodka or gin in your spiked frozen treats? No problem. OddFellows Ice Cream Co. just introduced a slew of new flavors inspired by cocktails from some of the world’s best bars, including Two Schmucks in Barcelona and Maybe Sammy in Sydney— and they’ll ship them directly to your door.

“Enjoying a world-class cocktail in a beautiful bar is the absolute best,” says OddFellows Co-Founder Mohan Kumar. “We wanted to capture that experience and celebrate our hospitality industry peers with this boozy capsule.” Of course, the idea is bittersweet … many of us haven’t been able to sit at a bar for more than a year – and the hospitality industry is suffering for it. To that end, the shop will be donating 10 percent of the sales from the six alcohol-laced flavors to Another Round Another Rally, a nonprofit that provides grants and immersive educational scholarships, as well as emergency assistance to workers in the hospitality industry.

“Boozy is something different,” Kumar says. “Especially since people haven’t been able to enjoy their favorite cocktails or spirits as much as they used to, they are finding more creative ways to enjoy delicious boozy treats at home.”

For a shop that has offered more than 500 flavors over the years, it’s no surprise that they've always had some sort of spiked option – from rosé pops to Aperol spritz slushies, but this offering is unique because of the input from these world-class bars, Kumar says. Getting the mix just right was no easy feat, he adds. “Inherently, the ice cream or sorbet will need to be sweet,” Kumar explains. “Trying to balance that with the way the actual cocktail tastes is tricky, but I think we have done a spot-on job in creating renditions of them.”

Want to judge for yourself? The six cocktail ice creams in “The Boozy Capsule” include:

Death & Co.’s Buko Gimlet: Coconut water sorbet, infused with New York Distilling Company’s Dorothy Parker Gin, Novo Fogo Cachaça, Kalani Coconut Liqueur, lime and pandan.

Two Schmucks’ Strawberry Kush: Non-dairy sorbet mixing Bacardí Carta Blanca Rum with mint, lemon, Angostura Bitters, saline, and cardamom.

Long Island Bar’s Cosmopolitan: Cranberry-lime sorbet infused with Absolut Citron Vodka and Cointreau Liqueur.

Maybe Sammy La Finca: Coffee ice cream infused with Mr. Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur and Oloroso Sherry, with gems of Manuka Honey.

Attaboy’s Penicillin: Sweet cream whisky ice cream infused with Dewar’s Blended Scotch Whisky with a hint of lemon, gems of honey, and candied ginger.

Limantour’s Mr. Pink: Sweet cream gin ice cream infused with New York Distilling Company’s Dorothy Parker Gin, with nuggets of grapefruit sorbet infused with rosemary, lime, basil and orange bitters.

If I had to pick a favorite, it’s probably the Buko Gimlet, which is light and refreshing, with a lovely creamy texture…. Or La Finca, which is dangerously delicious… or… you know what? Just get all six of them direct to your door for $79.99 plus shipping. If you’re lucky enough to live in the greater Boston area or New York City, you can pick up a pint locally for $13.50.
